Automatically connect two USB devices

The Automatic USB Switch connects two USB devices to one shared target system. Exactly one port is active at a time: input A or input B. Switching takes place according to the time configured directly on the device. No additional PC service or control software is required.

• 2 inputs: for USB devices such as external drives or USB flash drives
• 1 output: connection to a PC or another target system
• 2 timing modes: Fixed Time and Countdown Time
• Standalone operation: configured entirely on the device

How it works

The internal circuit connects only one of the two USB devices to the output. At the specified time, the connection switches to the other port in a controlled manner.

Fixed Time

Define a specific time within a 24-hour period. When that time is reached, the active USB connection changes automatically.

Countdown Time

The device counts down the configured period and then switches to the other USB device.

Direct operation

The display shows the current time, selected USB port and remaining time until the next switch. All settings are made using the three buttons on the unit, independently of the operating system or network.

Typical applications

• Backup systems: alternate two USB storage devices on one backup system.
• Offline backups: connect a backup medium only during a scheduled backup window.
• Scheduled applications: switch USB devices at a fixed time or after a countdown.
